That’s what I called him, before I got to know Felipe and his family of course. Maybe i feel a little bad, but that prick took my iPhone right from my bag that day, I just know it. And now, here i am, at my desk writing up my South American sojourn some four months later fresh without notes, because there in the Andes -some 16,000 km north and about 4km up from, 32 gigabytes of my anecdotes, musings, names and numbers were sitting in a Peruvian minivan’s glovebox - next to no more than $11 in Nuevo Soles and some Coca leaves. So the weeks that follow will come from hindsight, a shopping bag full of receipts, business cards and scribbled-on napkins, and of course just a dash of that classic, exaggerated bullshit I’ve manage to convince myself is gospel.

I know because I got through all 5 minutes and 12 seconds before i realised it was accompanying a terrible japanese song… my favourite part is when they take their shoes off before entering the building… that’s a cultural thing they tell me - if you weren’t sure, now you know - and knowing is half the battle.
